here's holiday

I’ve been going a bit pattern crazy this year. Retro :: Vintage :: Quirky :: Simple :: Bold :: Playful :: I love them all! How can you not be inspired by repetitious gorgeousness?! I even took a swing at drawing my very own argyle pattern yesterday. As it turns out, I really enjoyed it. And, I think it came out beautiful {if I don’t say so myself} for my first try. Each one of the lovely designs featured below have coordinating backings for a perfectly polished effect.

I am pretty positive that I will be riding out this burst of inspiration over the next couple of days. Be sure to keep an eye out for more designs.

Take a look
here at holiday 2009. And, here for custom designs from year’s past.

Here it is, my first-ever custom drawn pattern :: Argyle :: Isn't it darling?!

glorious autumn

Every year, as glorious Autumn gradually trickles in, I am blissfully reminded of my wedding day. Thirteen years ago today, on the most perfect Autumn afternoon, I married the love of my life. An amazing man that comforts me when I need comforting, talks me down when I need a good talk-down, supports everything I do, loves me regardless of my imperfections, is so forgiving and selfless, is an extraordinary father to our boys, takes care of me when I’m sick, and loves me unconditionally. I'm feeling especially lucky and blessed today.

This past weekend, we took the boys on a little family excursion. We went on an awesome hike, visited the cider farm {warm apple cider cinnamon doughnuts – yum} and went apple picking. The weather could not have been more perfect. Here are a couple photos from our day.

vintage hollywood glamour...a glimpse

Over the next day or so, I’ll be presenting a selection of invitation designs, along with a medley of custom logos, to the gala committee for their upcoming fundraising event in February. This year’s event theme is -- a night at the Oscars. During our initial meeting, I proposed the idea of creating an invitation that represents vintage Hollywood glamour. Here’s a glimpse of what I came up with so far.

Love love love this part in the process. When designs are complete and ready to be presented. I'll be sure to keep you posted as to which design they choose.
